🥊 It’s a Wrap (Well… Sort of)

🥊 It’s a Wrap (Well… Sort of)

Exactly one week from today, I’ll be stepping into the ring for the Ultra White Collar Boxing event at The Troxy on 14/06/2025.

After seven intense weeks of training, sweat, sparring, sore muscles, and a few bruises, the final bell on prep has sounded. From now until fight day, it’s all about active recovery and avoiding any last-minute injuries. That means light exercise only (yes, I’m trying to enjoy it).

As a novice boxer and someone well past their “sporting prime,” this journey has been nothing short of transformational. I signed up to test myself physically and mentally but I’m walking away with so much more.

Here are my biggest takeaways from the ring:

You don’t know your limits until you train with people stronger, faster, or smarter than you. Growth happens in discomfort.

Bravery and courage are universal. They don’t care about age, race, gender, or background and they don’t always look like Olympic athletes.

Energy. Effort. Enthusiasm. Every worthy goal demands all three. But when motivation fades, purpose will carry you through.

Everyone’s fighting a battle you can’t see. In the ring or out in the world, choose kindness.

Respect the craft. Every discipline has its own rhythm, rituals, and requirements. You can’t fake the fundamentals.

Why am I doing this?

To raise awareness, and vital funds for two amazing UK charities doing real, impactful work:

💙 100 Black Men of London

A charity empowering young people through mentoring, education, and wellness programmes. Since 2001, they’ve positively impacted over 10,000 lives.

If this resonates with you, whether as a boxing fan, a supporter of social causes, or someone just looking for an afternoon of high-energy action, I’d love to have you in the crowd on 14/06/2025.

If you’d like to join us on fight day, tickets are still available here:

Thanks to everyone who’s supported me so far. This journey reminded me that comfort zones may feel safe but nothing truly meaningful happens inside them.

Let’s go get it.
